STUDIO VIV HARAJUKU
設計から運営までを自社で一貫して行うレンタルスタジオのプロジェクト。
ファッションやカルチャーの発信地である原宿駅近くという立地特性を踏まえ、アパレルブランドやアーティストによる展示会、ポップアップショップなど、多様な表現活動を受け止める場として、試着室を備えたギャラリー空間を計画した。
レンタルスタジオという用途の特性から、ハンガーパイプや展示台などの什器は可動式を基本とし、空間は極力ニュートラルでシンプルな構成・色調に抑えている。
使い手の表現や展示内容が主役となる余白を確保することで、用途やシーンに応じて柔軟な運用が可能なスタジオを目指した。
Studio VIV Harajuku
This project is a rental studio developed and operated by our practice, encompassing everything from design and renovation to ongoing management.
Taking advantage of its location near Harajuku Station—one of Tokyo’s key centers of fashion and culture—the studio is conceived as a gallery space with a fitting room, intended to accommodate a wide range of expressive activities such as exhibitions and pop-up shops by apparel brands and artists.
Given the nature of a rental studio, display elements such as hanging rails and exhibition tables are designed to be movable, while the space itself is kept deliberately neutral and restrained in both composition and color.
By securing a generous spatial margin in which users’ expressions and exhibition content can take precedence, the studio is designed to enable flexible operation in response to different uses and scenes.
